about

"Storms make trees take deeper roots" is a saying generally credited to Dolly Parton.

The songs "I̯agis etic Anmeniâ", "Gutus Galiâs" and "Â Elu̯êtiâ U̯indomârâ" were all written for the GaulCast podcast, though I've used a different mix of "Gutus..." than the one used in GaulCast, and the Boui̯âtis Mix of "Elu̯êtiâ..." is a revised version with samples recorded (not by me) in the Alps as the original purpose of the song was to pay homage to Switzerland, the birthplace of both Halstatt and La Téne cultures. Boui̯âtis is Gaulish for cowherd. Please check out GaulCast at www.gaulcast.com

The song "Nâ Ancoret" was inspired by a short Horror film called Do Not Open. Watching it made me want to write something using sounds that resemble things I've heard in Horror movies (not just it, but in general). To pay tribute, I added some short samples from the movie and named the song after it. Please go watch the movie! youtu.be/g1BGtuiOmgw

The epithet Iludânâcos was formed from the Irish Ildánach using Gaulish cognates.

Chthoniophilia is a word I made of meaning love of the cthonic/Underworld/underground, open to various interpretations.

"Donâ com Medu̯annâ" is another song that I've released before, but this version has a sample from an episode of the podcast Old Gods of Appalachia that I just thought fit perfectly for a song about a goddess associated with Fate. Nanî is Gaulish for grandmother. Please check OGoA! www.oldgodsofappalachia.com
